Where We Build
Four Communities. Three Countries. One Set of Principles.
Every Veritas Village is built on the F.I.R.S.T. principles — but each has its own climate, setting, and character. Find the one that fits your vision of a free life.
Panama
Veritas Village Coronado
Nestled in the hills near Coronado, this village is designed around the idea that off-grid living does not require sacrifice. Food security, natural water access, and resilient infrastructure sit alongside easy access to beaches, restaurants, and modern services — just minutes away.
Coronado is one of Panama's most established expat communities, with international schools, quality medical care, and a well-developed infrastructure base nearby. The Veritas Village here takes the convenience of the Coronado area and adds a layer of genuine independence beneath it.

- Minutes from Coronado beaches and services
- Off-grid energy capability
- Bitcoin-enabled community transactions
Nicaragua
Veritas Village Playa Pacifica
A Spanish-style beach neighborhood inside Gran Pacifica Beach and Golf Resort, Playa Pacifica is the closest gated beachfront community to the international airport in Nicaragua — making it straightforward to reach and equally easy to leave when you want to.
Year-round surf, golf, and horseback riding are available within the resort. The Veritas Village here is designed for people who want community, amenities, and the Pacific coast — not remote highland living.

Panama
Veritas Village Chiriquí
A smaller, more intimate community near Boquete and the Costa Rica border. Chiriquí Province is one of Panama's most celebrated highlands: cool temperatures, rich volcanic soil, outstanding coffee country, and extraordinary biodiversity.
The Veritas Village here is for people who want the close-knit feel of a small community, with the land to support real self-sufficiency. Boquete and nearby towns provide services and a well-established expat community, while the village itself remains genuinely quiet.

Costa Rica
Veritas Village Atenas
Atenas is located in the Central Valley of Costa Rica, between San José and the Pacific coast. The area is renowned by climate researchers for its year-round mild temperatures — warm days, cool evenings, and minimal extremes in any direction.
Costa Rica has a long, stable history of welcoming foreign residents, with an established legal framework for residency and property ownership. The Veritas Village in Atenas combines that stability with the F.I.R.S.T. principles — a freedom-oriented community in a country that already understands the idea of foreign residents living well.

- Freedom-oriented design on established land

Common Questions
Questions About Our Communities
Can Americans legally own property in Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua?
Yes. All three countries permit foreign nationals to own real estate in fee simple (outright ownership) under the same terms as citizens in most cases. Each country has its own registration and legal process. We work with local legal counsel in each country to guide residents through property acquisition and residency applications.
Do I need to speak Spanish to live in a Veritas Village?
You do not need Spanish to function day-to-day in any of our villages, and the expat communities around each location are English-speaking. That said, learning Spanish makes daily life significantly richer and is something most residents end up pursuing over time.
How does the DAO governance actually work for residents?
Each resident holds a voting token in the community's Decentralized Autonomous Organization. Major decisions about community rules, shared infrastructure, and collective finances are put to a vote. Proposals can be submitted by any resident, and outcomes are recorded on-chain. We walk new residents through the governance process before they move in.
Is Bitcoin the only way to transact within the community?
No. Bitcoin transactions are enabled and supported throughout the community, and many residents use Bitcoin for everything from land purchases to ongoing fees. But it is not a requirement — residents who prefer conventional payment methods can use them.
What happens if I want to sell my lot or home in the future?
Resale works through normal property market channels in each country, with your property registered in your name. The community DAO has no veto over individual property sales. We recommend working with a local real estate attorney, and our team can provide referrals.
